Result of a long and careful research of the most suitable places, for climate and soil characteristics, to the intensive plant of an olive grove, the MARGHERITA SOLA Agricultural Company was founded in 1990 in the fertile and generous Tuscany, a region already rich in age-old olive groves and vineyards renowned. The chosen area was the Grosseto Maremma, where the climate always mild thanks to the proximity of the sea and the protection offered on northern slope from the Sienese hills (famous for Brunello di Montalcino), allowed an exceptional development of the plantation. Il Podere Collina Bruna, led by the owner Dott.ssa Margherita Sola, extends for 40 ha. to 150 mt. above sea level, in the area between the Natural Park of the Maremma and the Monte Argentario. The specialized olive grove consists of 7,000 plants distributed on a surface of 26 ha. divided among the 4 olive varieties required by the EEC Regulations for the Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil: 50% Leccino Minerva 30% Frantoio 10% Pendolino 10% Moraiolo
