SaffronThe company agricola Mambrini has always existed, it has formed over the years thanks to the labors of our ancestors who have succeeded, with the work in the fields, to put together, with so many sacrifices, what today makes up the family business. In fact, our company is a lot atypical, because it is formed by various plots of land in the surroundings of Poggio Murella.
We an olive grove that we can call secular, and two more younger ones.
we have always had a vineyard, certainly before it was very small, however family needs or a little more, then around the end of the years 60, another & nbsp; plant was built & nbsp; still in today production and a few years later another one was purchased plot of land & nbsp; with even older vineyard, which even now it continues to produce.
2005 other vineyards were built and the last one was realized in 2014.
We also the cultivation of Spelled and Saffron.
2011 the new winery was built in a panoramic place beautiful and in the midst of our vineyards.
Our company uses the ORGANIC cultivation method Certificate. The transformation also has organic certification.
DAMANTO This name is in memory of grandfather Rino. It is to him, that he loved so so much the vineyard, that we dedicate this wine. He used this word as a superlative adjective for anything. For example at the moment of the racking when he tasted the new wine he said with an air of pleasure "ah this year wine is damanto", to say which was very good. Or he could use this word as a synonym of strength, of beauty, of intelligence. In short, when a thing he liked it so much and he was proud of it, he said: "it's damanto".
SAN BERLERO When we loosened the first time, to make wine from bottle, I had a calendar in the cellar where every day there were many names of saints. That day among the various there was San Berlero's names. I was struck by this name, mi liked it immediately. I found him assonant with a thing to drink. Now it is we consider the patron of our winery and our wines.
FRANCESCONE The name for this white wine was the last to come out. The explanation of the name at the end is simple. The best white grapes are produced in one of our plots of land called FRANCESCONE. It was a must also to call wine.
SANROSE 'we thought about it a lot, but until we have it no name came to mind, but at that moment we said "how good it is, we should do it a saint" and from this phase it became San Rosè.
POGGIOVENTOSO If you come to visit us in the cellar you will understand why this name. On our hill the wind never fails and the other peculiarity is that in our country the hill is called Poggio. It was easy to put the two things together.
