Wine and grappaCooperative founded in 1972, since 1985 it has embarked on a path towards a quality proposal and is committed to the promotion and distribution of Morellino di Scansano. Today with its 160 members, it represents 20% of the denomination. Attentive to the sustainability of its own production, it has various certifications including the carbon footprint and the V.I.V.A. Sustainable wine of the Ministry of the Environment.
The winery takes its name from the denomination, in fact it was born a few years before the Morellino di Scansano was recognized as a doc. The Roggiano, one of the most representative wines, takes its name from a shrub called "rogge" or "miners' broom", which in this area arises spontaneously on the land most devoted to vine cultivation. The Sycamore also takes its name from a tree, well present on our hedges and is often found along fields and vineyards.
We cultivate the grape varieties historically used in this area: Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Alicante, Malvasia nera, Canaiolo, Vermentino, Trebbiano and Ansonica
Wines: Morellino di Scansano docg (Vintage and Reserves), Maremma Toscana doc (Varietal), Toscana igt (Varietal). Oil, Grappa and sparkling wines.
